An AD from AFSEC Member Peter Bialick:

Pete Bialick runs a worldwide stamp exchange for intermediate-advanced collectors that has been going for 50+ years. Most members have been collecting 30 to 50 years and place their extra duplicates in 5.5 x 8.5 booklets of 10 pages. Trade balances are based on what is traded, not the value of submissions. As the trade balance grows, members receive more books with more value. Old classics and more recent stamps can be traded and the turnaround is quicker than most exchanges.  For more information, write Pete Bialick, 4470 Chippewa, Boulder CO 80303 or e-mail peterbialick@comcast.net.

An AD from AFSEC Member Bill Wallace:

After selling a large, advanced collection at auction a few years ago, I decided to re-enter the world of philately, this time from the retail side. I made it my mission to assemble a stock of exceptional stamps, many of which, if not rare, are seldom seen, and nearly all at 20-33% of Scott. (Less than 1% are more, only because they are not available at lower prices). I now have an inventory of over 70,000 stamps, well north of $600,000 in catalog value, with new stock arriving daily. The catalogs used are primarily 2016 for 1840-1940 issues and 2014 for later issues. In a few cases, later catalogs have been used. I have been a member of APS since 2009 (215159).
This catalog is available in two formats: Excel and .pdf. In the Excel version, the cells under columns titled “Cat. #” and “Comments” may have to be clicked on where there is more information than the cell can accommodate. I have too many items to scan, but I shall be pleased to scan lots you wish to see.
I am not an internet or computer guy, so I am feeling my way along in those areas, but I have attempted to make my catalog viewer friendly and easy enough for even me to understand! I have done my very best to describe all items accurately, and everything is unconditionally guaranteed, with a full refund if you’re not happy with what you’ve received. I do ask that you inspect everything upon receipt and notify me in a reasonable period of time if there are any problems. I never sell forgeries knowingly, unless they are identified as such. In selling stamps from the classic period, occasionally a counterfeit item may slip through. I will pay up to $50 per item for expertizing if any item with a CV
of $100+ is identified as not genuine. The vast majority of my stamps are F-VF, based on what is normal for that issue and era (e. g., a Barbados 1851 stamp may be considered F-VF in a condition that wouldn’t merit that designation in a Sierra Leone 1953 issue.) MNG issues are usually priced at 25-50% of what
I would sell an MH for, unless, of course, issued that way.
I generally do not break up complete sets. Otherwise items listed in a grouping can be bought individually.
You will frequently see “avail indiv” for items available individually, but as long as the set is not absolutely complete, individual purchases are OK. If, for example, you wish to buy an item with a CV of $10 from a group whose collective CV is $30 and my retail price is $7.50, then your price for that item will be $2.50 (i.e., you’re taking 1/3 of the lot by catalog value, and my price is 25% of Scott). If your catalogs aren’t dated from 2013 on, please call or write me and I’ll give you the price. This can get complicated, but don’t let it. If you need to round up or down a little to make sense, please do so. Shipping (U.S. and Canada) is free on orders of $25.00 or more, $1.00 for smaller orders. International
shipping on a case-by-case basis. I cannot be responsible for items lost in mail…. I shall provide insurance at cost if that’s a concern. For now, payments may be made through PayPal money request, check, or money order/cashier’s check, etc. I will have regular PayPal availability soon. If your appetite is larger than your budget (whose isn’t?), no interest credit terms may be available. I appreciate your consideration and business!

If you would like an emailed catalog, please call or email me and I'll get it to you immediately.
